Inside My Knitting Bag.

Since it is almost a new year, the time for cleaning up life, I decided to organize my knitting bag. I was carrying around three-month-old magazines and scraps of yarn from previous projects. It feels so good to have everything organized and ready to knit through 2011.

This bag is a Pleated Tote from Vera Bradley. The pattern and shape remind me of a grandma's carpet bag...I adore it.

So here it is, down to the bare minimum. Of course my current project is in my bag at all times along with my Instax Mini (for taking inspiration photos) and iPod.

I like to keep extra needles and hooks in my bag too, just in case I need to adjust my gauge. I also keep an idea notebook close by to draw out my ideas so I won't forget.

In this little pouch I keep my tape measure, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch counter, cable needle, and stitch markers.

I wonder how long it will stay this pretty....?

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for some of my wrist warmers still happening below! Giveaway ends on January 2.

Ho Ho Ho

Well, I survived finals! I think this was my best semester so far. My adventure with Etsy had a lot to do with that actually. I am stunned at how amazing this whole experience has been. I can't believe that I made over 50 knitted creations in these four months! I could seriously use a hand massage...or a manicure.

My Etsy friends weren't kidding when they told me about the busy holiday season. I mean, how does Santa handle this time of year?! I have been knitting like the wind for the past few days fulfilling orders in time for Christmas. Thankfully my parents have been helping me with the packaging. They are such helpful elves.

The headband with the red bow was featured in Etsy's blog The Storque on Wednesday. Through that, I got a couple last minute headband orders and just shipped off the last one. So exciting!

Now all I have to do is watch White Christmas for the hundredth time, bake cookies, and relax.

breathe in...and out...

Well I am currently in the midst of finals week and my brain is on stress overload. For once, I wish I could end a semester gracefully, instead of feeling mentally and emotionally battered. But, alas, I cannot. I have one more final and a paper to dominate today.

This paper needs to prepare for a round-house kick in the face. Chuck Norris style.

Even knitting, my stress reducer, has become a little stressful due to all of the holiday orders. But I am so not complaining! Keep the orders coming! Everything is coming together, in spite of my ridiculous levels of stress.

Here are some studying related finds from Etsy for your viewing pleasure:
